No primary records of my fourth-great-grandfather Calogero Alessi's birth have been found. His name is given on his marriage record and on the marriage records of his sons Giovanni and Michelangelo. Since his sons were born in about 1766-1767, and he was married in 1765, it's assumed that Calogero was born in about 1740. Their sons and several subsequent generations were born in Marianopoli, but Calogero and Grazia were married in Serradifalco. It's not known whether they were born in Marianopoli or Serradifalco.

This is the church marriage record of my fourth-great-grandparents Calogero Alessi and Grazia Peri. All the Latin words aren't decipherable, but the critical information is. In other records, Grazia's surname is given as la Pera.
