I have not found any records of baptism, marriage or death for my great-great-great-great-grandmother Carmine, but I know her first name from the 1759 marriage record of her daughter Onofria Porto, which states that Carmine was living at that time. That early record doesn't give Carmine's surname. A married woman would be called "in" her husband's surname, hence Carmine in Porto. |
