Meaning of di Giugno [dee-JOON-yu]: of or born in the month of June

Civil birth records were not made in Sicily before 1820, and I've been unable to find the 1770 church baptism record or the marriage record of my great-great grandfather Stanislao di Giugno. His birth year is estimated from his age given on his death record and from the birth dates of his children. Stanislao's occupation is given as Agricoltore (Farm owner). He was born during the reign of the King of the Two Sicilies, Ferdinando I (also known as Ferdinando III and IV!!), who in turn was a subject of his father King Carlos III of Spain and All its Holdings (including Sicily). The King at the time of Stanislao's death was Ferdinando I's grandson, Ferdinando II.

This translation is not strictly literal, but factually correct.

Note: Although some church records for Serradifalco are still extant from 1695 through 1920, there are some gaps, and church death records for the years 1843 - 1863 are missing, or were not filmed. Therefore, I could not find Stanislao's 1856 church death record.

Stanislao di Giugno died in 1856 at age eighty-eight, outliving his son Leonardo, who died in 1833. Though it may seem unusual for a Sicilian to be named Stanislao, that name was not extremely rare. The names of saints were often given to children, and Saint Stanislaus Kostka, a Pole who made a pilgrimage to Rome, was popular in Sicily.
